Great shot man. May I ask how you managed to get away with taking photos at the casino?

Thanks. They don't care, as long as I'm not taking pictures of them making $$. I avoided the crowd I guess.

Sweet deal, were you using a tripod?

I got asked to stop taking photos inside a mall one time but luckily I had already finished.hehe

The juxtaposition of the classical-style architecture and the neon gives it a really dream-like quality;especially with how the tile in the water has a really digital, TRON-like appearance . The green and orange in blue bands in the lower left is amazing. I also like how you have these two focal points kind of struggling for dominance; the horizon line with the waterspouts in the fountain and the arches in the ceiling.(haha did I over-hyphenate that paragraph or what?)

The only real weak part of this photo is the dead center, where the downward arc of the waterspouts are. I don't know if it is the placement of that middle waterspout or if it is because your eyes get drawn to that beautiful blue horizon line and where the waterspouts kind of flatten out and it clashes with the rest of the perspective.

REGARDLESS, amazing photo. I look forward to seeing the rest of your gallery.

Man, I just got a 2.5lb Carbon Fiber Tripod, the head added another lb, but it would have been really light. Before I was using a 10-lb tripod from the 1980's. So I rare carry that thing around. For this particular shot, you will have to try to use your imagination on how I angled it. I took my cigarette case, and my lens cap to prop up my lens, and placed it close to the edge of the fountain, and pray no water will spray on my lens/body.

Did you upload that photo? I alway enjoy going through your gallery. You'll be surprise how much one can learn by just observing.

Hey man, I appreciate the deep insights. I think you 're right. I kept wondering why something was odd and how I could never figure out how to angle it better. Now I know, and next time I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

Wow, I was looking at this again and I realized that there are actually people in the photo (wearing bright red no less!). You did such an amazing job making the architecture *THE* subject of this picture. If I was wearing a hat I would be tipping it to you.
:iconwaterfallout:
Nice job man you have to be creative when you don't have your tripod with you. That new tripod you have sounds great especially when hiking around in the bush, it will definitely lighten your load.

No I took those photos a long time ago probably 8 years or more and they were on film and I just don't bother with my film images anymore to much hassle. Well if you like this gallery check out my other one which has more architecture in it :iconellipticalspace:
